The Harlot’s delusion comes when we believe that our love for worship proves that we love Jesus and that we know Him. The Harlot and those unclean spirits, birds, and beasts who watch over the people of God love it when we worship, they even require it.
The worship of God does not equal relationship with God, for many, like all those in Babylon, it just equates to experience with God. As with Israel, Jesus saw them as apostate, despite the fervor for worship. Faith is the issue, a faith that produces God’s agape love. That is true worship.
True worship is to allow the complete dispossession of all
that we are for all that He is! This is the ultimate exchange: our life for His life so others may know Him by our love.
