Jesus is the bright morning star, the light that pierces throughour darkness. Lucifer was created as an imager of Jesus, as a picture of the one who is the Bright Morning Star. But Lucifer corrupted his ways and was overcome by pride, so God cast him down as an abhorred branch, and filled him with the fire that fuels the “hamas” or the violence in his heart. Lucifer’s mistake was that he believed that through the work of his hands, he could be like the Most High.
We are imagers of this poser every time we try to be good for God, good like God. Every time we declare that through our efforts, through our discipline, through our choices (through the works of our hands), we can be like God. There can be only One Bright Morning Star.Download Transcript
