We are addressing what Yahweh says about Himself and thosein His household not neglecting the parts of His character and nature that do not fit the modern fictions that have been told about Him. Yes, God is agape love, and He is full of mercy and in that mercy, He extends His grace to all, especially to those in His household. But His grace is an extension of His identity as the I AM—the provider of all we need all the time.
Those who come to Him must receive Him for who He is, theultimate source of all. And this is the very reason that the source matters, the source is everything! Those who are bent on doing things for themselves simply do not know Him as theI AM.
