Our willingness to now believe is contrasted with those who will NOTrepent of the work of their hands. God requires our willingness to let Him eradicate the enemies in our soul so that we might now come to abide in peace, rest, fruitfulness, and security. It is God’s job to choose “when” and “where” to go to war and our job to is to let Him.
He desires honesty from within – to admit that areas not rooted in faith will never produce peace, rest, fruitfulness, and security. This honesty is the impetus to our willingness cry out to Yahweh Yasha to do what His name promises: to free, deliver, or save us from ourselves. He will do the work, but it must be accomplished by grace through faith as He teaches us WHY we need to believe in His name and HOW to now be believing in His name. Anything else is just another work of our hands.
In the honesty of our neediness, in our cry for deliverance, and in our willingness to wait for Jesus to deliver us and transform us, we are choosing to live like that little child dependent upon God for all things, all the time, thereby securing our entry into the Kingdom of God.
