Many, due to their commitment to the work of their hands, are worshipping demons and will not repent of their idolatry of brass and of stone and of wood. The brass and stone both speak of judgment. The religion of Christianity exists because of the brass and the stone.
The law, your law, my law, anyone’s law brings forth judgment and condemnation. Jesus may forgive our sins, but for some reason other believers do not believe He really does, and so they do not.
As for the idol of wood, many Christians idolize the cross. Our sin did not put Jesus on the cross. The plan of the Father to find a bride for His Son put Jesus on the cross. We were conceived in sin, and so we sin because sin is infused into our very nature. Sin is not about who we are separate and distinct from the New Creation. Every thought, every breath, every movement that does not derive from the divine, from the only one who is good, is sin. But sin is just a tool used by the Father to accomplish His purposes to show us WHY we need to trust Him and How to trust Him.
