To practically know Jesus by His name Yahweh Tsidkenu, we must be willing to come to grips with our absolute inability to be good, and by faith relinquish all our own attempts at finding favor, blessing, and right standing with God, and with other believers, though what we do.
We must let go of all our “would have’s,” “could have’s,” and “should have’s” of our life, and never return to their lies, especially the one that tells us that “next time, we will”.
We must detest the work of our hands knowing that even our best goodness before God is not much more than a dirty, filthy, bloody rag. And this truth must move from a Christian cliché to a personal truth invading our heart, mind, soul, and our strength.
