Hello ladies, gents, and non-binary folx. Happy Women's History Month! This month I will be having discussions with women from different backgrounds on being a woman in different industries. With the end of Black History's Month and the beginning of Women's History Month, today's episode is with Velma Morgan, the chair of Operation Black Vote Canada. Operation Black Vote Canada is a national multi-partisan organization in Canada whose aim is to get more black people elected to political office in all three levels of government. We discuss her career in politics and policy, how Operation Black Vote came to be, the initiatives that Operation Black Vote Canada has, and the importance of #representationmatters in politics and public policy.
