The Philippines won its first gold medal through Hidilyn Diaz of weightlifting. But the other olympians are still in contention to possibly bring home a second gold. But win or lose, the Filipino athletes deserve the cheer and support from the nation.
The 2020 Olympics should open our eyes for the outpouring of support to the national athletes, even during the preparation stages.
