On Dec 1 2020, all expressways in the Philippines would be capable of handling full "contactless toll collection" using RFID technology. This has caused a mad rush of motorists to install RFID stickers on their vehicles, resulting to shortage of supply. Many found themselves empty handed and wary of the consequence(s) of not having RFID stickers by the first day of December.
On the eve of the implementation, we spoke to Dept of Transportation Asst. Secretary for Communications, Goddes Hope Libiran, to address the various concerns of the motorists.
