To improve our understanding on FGM, it is important that we discuss the role of everyone involved. We share our thoughts on the role and history of the circumciser, using examples of womens experiences with FGM to discuss the effects of FGM, the difficultly of changing the beliefs and cultures behind FGM but also how these women can use their experiences to help educate and raise awareness.
