Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott, Governors of Texas and Florida decided to make a statement right before the midterms, and their own re-election campaigns, by conducting a little light human trafficking. No big deal. It was for the lulz, after all. How can you tell it's an election year? When Republicans trot out the immigration crisis. It never seems to be an issue in December of an election year though... It just seems to stop being a thing. Will their stunts work? Depends. If you're running for a congressional seat in a district that's mostly filled with rural white voters... probably will help. And they're hoping Christians don't actually pay attention to how they've worked to clothe the naked, or feed the hungry (SPOILER ALERT: they don't do that).
But where are the Democrats on this? What is Speaker Pelosi up to in the Immigration debate? What laws are being proposed? I hold both sides feet to the fire in this one (Yes, one is less bad than the other). Sit back, relax, and get ready for some rage!
