I wanted to do a deep dive into the basic tactics of McCarthyism after I heard "We have FOURTEEN FBI whistleblowers" (emphasis mine) out of the Jim Jordan Republican announcement of investigations into Hunter Biden. I also wanted to bring up all the Russian conspiracy theory nonsense about Ukraine since Marjorie Taylor Greene decided to make a huge stink about investigating that too.
But no. The internet decided that instead the big story out of yesterday would instead be about Nancy Pelosi stepping down from House Leadership. Further, it decided she should be lionized for her efforts all these years. That's what I took offense to. And by take offense to I mean posting "I don't think she was all that great" and then receiving various replies along the lines of suggesting I am stupid, my opinions are stupid, and other more colorful language.
So yes, the internet put a nickel in and that means this episode is the result of that. Buy a ticket, take the ride as I disassemble Nancy Pelosi's "great achievements" as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
