This week we were joined by Scottish International Netballer and current Strathclyde Siren; Nicola McCleery. Yet another wonderful guest, Nicola was able to shed light on her journey into Netball as well as how she balances her time between training and being a PE Teacher. She reflects on her successful time at school where she found her love for netball. Nicola also spoke at length about her delight of representing the Strathclyde Sirens in the Viltality Netball Superleague and also her country at the most recent Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast. We find out what it is like being a Siren and the training demands of a professional athlete and Mr McCue discovers there is a male netball league in Scotland where he could make the switch to in case his football doesn't work out.
