WOW! We have pulled off a major guest for this week's podcast with none other than current Scottish Football and FIFA referee; Bobby Madden. Bobby was such a fascinating and humble guest who spoke at length about his time at school and his early passion for running/athletics. Additionally, we found out how his refereeing journey started with his intention to help others in the local community who struggled for a referee at the weekends. He spoke at length about his journey from U13's at Huntershill to Scottish Cup Finals and even further afield. An energetic and passionate Bobby spoke for his love of Scottish football, discussing some of the key talking points around officiating and football at this moment in time including VAR. We found out really what it was like to be a referee, what makes an effective one and what a typical training week is like for them. From funny rumours to dream games, Bobby was an exceptionally down to earth individual who like you and I simply loves Scottish Football.
