DrinkPrime is a smart customised water purifier based on input water quality. Unlike traditional water purifiers that are not connected to the internet, DrinkPrime is Internet of Things (IoT) -enabled and is in sync with a subscriber’s DrinkPrime mobile app allowing them to monitor water purifier health at all times. It was founded in 2016 by Mr Vijender Reddy Muthyala, Co-founder & CEO and Mr Manas Ranjan Hota, Co-founder & COO.
A data-driven model, it blends a water purifier subscription service along with sensors to track a household’s water input and consumption in real-time. The customized four-stage filtration process gives access to clean drinking water based on input water quality while being charged based on the chosen subscription plan.
Manas Ranjan Hota is the Co-founder and COO at DrinkPrime, India’s
leading drinking water solution provider.
50% of India does not have access to safe drinking water and DrinkPrime
is focused on solving this problem. Under his leadership, DrinkPrime has
been recognised as a part of Fast Company’s ‘The 10 most innovative
Asia-Pacific companies of 2021’ and in Forbes Asia 100 To Watch list.
Manas is responsible for growing DrinkPrime’s subscriber base by
500% over the last 2 years with the current subscriber count exceeding
30,000. He leads high-performance teams - sales, marketing, operations
and customer experience - at DrinkPrime and oversees the company’s
day-to-day activities. He has played a pivotal role in building the
125+ strong DrinkPrime team from scratch.
Before starting DrinkPrime, Manas built and led the inside sales team at
Sonata Software. He is a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
graduate from Pondicherry University.
