Daagh Dehlvi was an Indian Urdu poet who wrote most of his poetry on love. His real name was Nawab Mirza Khan but decided to use “Daagh” as his pen name (takhallus). Daag’s ghazals have been sung by several popular singers in India and Pakistan.
He started writing poetry from his early childhood and most of his early work was ghazal form of poetry. Daagh has several disciples including the famous urdu poet Allama Iqbal and Jigar Moradabadi.
