Lakysha Laing is a TFFC board member, former foster youth, and incredible human! During her session Lakysha will share:
• Her story with foster care and adoption (please note this includes some sensitive subject matter including child abuse)
• Lakysha’s desire to have a peer mentor as a foster youth
• The complicated feelings around being adopted - the joy and the pain
• 1 important (and easy!) thing foster parents can do to build a bond with their foster child
• What, in her opinion, makes a great foster parent
