MZG are not bound by genre confines. Making big waves in a crowded Denver bass scene, twin brothers Charles & Zach Weinert take the tangible vitality of the dancefloor and inject it with their identical powers. Fusing elements of future bass, dubstep, trap and hip-hop into an electro-synthesis, playfully-wonky soundscapes driven by intoxicating basslines, rich in samples deeply embedded in our collective consciousness. Original creations and torrid remixes cruise the cutting edge of contemporary electronic sound design, then shove convention aside to make way for their monozygotic styles.
Since taking flight in 2016, MZG has shared their infectious onstage chemistry with luminaries like GRIZ, RL Grime, Herobust, Manic Focus and Big Gigantic, among others. Already holding down a multi-year residency at Suwannee Hulaween festival in Florida, in July 2022 the pair made their much-ballyhooed debut at Electric Forest in Michigan, as well as Summercamp, Gem and Jam and other festival stages coast to coast. The duo continues to detonate a steady stream of bangers, including the avant-garde bass of “Wind It”, a scorching connect with Wakaan duo Kyral & Banko called “Boolin’”, and the bombastic anthem “Energy” alongside scene godfathers Big Gigantic. Additionally, the two are in preparation for their biggest performance to date at Red Rocks Amphitheater for Rowdytown X.
