We talk about his origin story, some early abuse, getting taken by the state at 5 (and separated from his sibling), more abuse, how getting picked for adoption out of a group home is like being picked by "The Claw," poor choices, more abuse...an identity overhaul, ALF, being asked to hide his Mexican heritage, striving to be the best student & athlete, fighting back, being shipped off to a corrective boarding school in Samoa for years, how a coke bottle can cure a boil, finding the perfect family (for him) and getting adopted at 22, BATHROOM TALK, joining the military, falling in love with Trish, becoming a Father, DAD JOKES, what he wants for his kids, and his thoughts on life after the military (which is a long way away).
