Description

Welcome to Episode 23 of Upstream Downstream. Here to talk with our host David Welch about the role of science in government is  Craig McLean. He is the acting chief scientist of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, headquartered in Silver Spring,  Maryland. The mission of NOAA is to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans, and coasts; to share that knowledge and information, and to conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources.

We would like to thank our guest Craig McLean for joining this discussion. We would also like to thank our host, David  Welch, our producer, Sarah Burke, and our assistant producer and editor,  Bianca Ison.
