Description

Awareness to World AIDs Day.

1st December

In this interview I speak to Gemma Wootten & Naomi Kate Cooper from the The Eddystone Trust - HIV & Sexual Health

They share the work they do for this fantastic charity, talking about the amazing treatments, support and prevention available.

Key take home:

✨ The stigma around HIV & AIDs has moved on a long way from the horrible adverts of the 80's.

✨There is still much to understand.

✨Tests are much faster and efficient.

✨You can still live a normal life with HIV, there are plenty of medicines to help you control the virus.

✨There are medicines available that prevent you catching the virus #prep

✨The support groups available are like family.

✨The government wants zero transmission by 2030

You can meet Gemma & Naomi in Kings Walk Shopping Centre on 1st December 2021. 10am to 4pm.

They will have an art display ranging from the 1980's adverts to the present day which offers the most up to date support.

There will also be events up and down the country.

Please help spread the word of this important message, we have come a long way.

I learned so much myself in this short interview, which has such an important message to everyone of all ages.
