We live in a world of "Bad News" - We Can Pray
Truth 1
God's People are partly responsible for the good of the land.
Matthew 5:13-16 = "You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:13:44-45 - But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
What is the "IF part" - If My people - God's people have not been doing what we are commanded to do
1. Humble Themselves - Romans 12:3 - For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
2. Pray- Do we have talks with God?
3. Seek God's Face - to be in His presence
4. Turn from Wicked ways - Call to believers to repent - we always mention somebody else's sin. We need to look at our own. Pride, gossip, complaining, etc.
Devote 180 - to praying for 3 minutes of the revival of the church and salvation of the lost.
What is the "Then?"
1. Hear - takes all four of the above to Hear - Humility, Pray, Seek God's Face, Repent and turn from our wicked ways.
2. Forgive - Promise 1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
3. Heal the Land - Everybody reaps the benefits

Revival proceeds Evangelism
What would revival look like?
1. Devotion to the Word - Say I know the Bible says AND this is what I am going to do.
2. Devotion to Fellowship - Being accountable to one another
3. Devotion to the Table - today sincere self-evaluation before coming to the communion table
4. Devotion to Prayer - Pray out loud, pray with others, write your prayers, Grow in prayer. Practice makes perfect.
