This promise is made to satan but for our benefit.
Romans 16:20 - The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you
The Provision for their sin
God makes garments of skin - sacrifice shedding of blood - covers their nakedness
Galatians 3:26-27 -
for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment.
Hebrews 9:22 - According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Ephesians 1:7 - We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
The Predicament
God's severe Grace
Ephesians 2:1, And you were dead in your trespasses and sins
Ephesians 2:4 - But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us
Ephesians 2:8 - For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift
Dead in your sins - God rich in grace and mercy. His great love, Gift of God
Two kinds of people? Those who address predicament - look to provision
Dead with predicament - those who ignore it
