Preparation for Worship

Time for Gathering

Opening Hymn “We Three Kings”

We three kings of Orient are bearing gifts we traverse afar

Field and fountain moor and mountain following yonder star

Refrain:

O star of wonder star of night star with royal beauty bright

Westward leading still proceeding guide us to Thy perfect light

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain gold I bring to crown Him again

King forever ceasing never over us all to reign [Refrain}

Frankincense to offer have I incense owns a Deity nigh

Prayer and praising all men raising worship Him God on high [Refrain]

Myrrh is mine its bitter perfume breathes a life of gathering gloom

Sorrowing sighing bleeding dying sealed in the stone cold tomb [Refrain]

Glorious now behold Him arise King and God and sacrifice

Alleluia alleluia peals through the earth and skies [Refrain]

Prayer of Praise

Song of Worship

Prayers of the Church and the Prayer of our Lord

Offering “What Child is This”

What Child is this who laid to rest on Mary's lap is sleeping

Whom angels greet with anthems sweet while shepherds watch are keeping

This this is Christ the King whom shepherds guard and angels sing

Haste haste to bring Him laud the Babe the Son of Mary

So bring Him incense gold and myrrh come peasant king to own Him

The King of kings salvation brings let loving hearts enthrone Him

Raise raise the song on high the Virgin sings her lullaby

Joy joy for Christ is born the Babe the Son of Mary

Sermon The Pagans Go South

Closing Hymn “Go Tell It on The Mountain”

While shepherds kept their watching O'er silent flocks by night

Behold throughout the heavens there shone a holy light

Go tell it on the mountain over the hills and ev'rywhere

Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born

The shepherds feared and trembled when lo above the earth

Rang out the angel chorus that hailed the Savior's birth

Down in a lowly manger the humble Christ was born

And God sent us salvation that blessed Christmas morn

Benediction:
