Description

In this clip Sae'Von explains how you can balance logic and emotion to serve as a tool for massive personal growth.

TRANSCRIPT

I think that's the thing about the balance, is why that self-control is necessary. The emotions inform us, right? There's a reason that you feel sad about it, there's a reason you feel angry about it - but what is that reason? Feeling that emotion doesn't give you the answer to that. Feeling the emotion clues you in that that's where you need to maybe investigate further. That further investigation can then lead you to some realizations that - you have to pull - you gotta ask that why six times, right? You've gotta keep asking. And then eventually you can get that flashlight and realize like "Oh, dam. I think that's why. That might be the root!" It gives you a starting place or a gauge of where work should or could be done to improve the scenario so that in the future you negate that whole negative emotion or rather, you just move closer to that outcome that you're seeking.
