I think we need to first define what a portfolio is. So, simply put, a portfolio is literally a body of work. That can be in any medium, that can be in multiple mediums. I mean you can have a portfolio of journals that you never showed to anybody. Doesn't have to be public, doesn't have to be private. Having a body of work is what I would define as a portfolio.
