Portia Hoffman-Strang’s journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur wasn't an easy one. The owner of The Urban Lounge Salon & Spa, co-founder of The Urban Bride and creator of Lounge Life scrunches opens up about her experience as a teen mom in high school and her struggles trying to make ends meet, as she went from being on welfare to now running a six-figure business. Portia talks about her journey to becoming a hair stylist to owning her own salon, expanding her services to offer a spa-like experience, to working with brides and launching her Lounge Life scrunchie line. Holly and Portia also have the ongoing discussion about the global pandemic and how the extended lockdown is impacting her biz, as well as all other service-based businesses.
Portia is also very involved in her community, sitting on the PBAN board and offering free haircuts to all military and veterans with proceeds going to the V-42 foundation. Book your next appointment with the Urban Lounge: https://www.theurbanloungesalonandspa.com.
