1. Tap into your community for speakers, many events never pay for speakers because the speakers are excited to support you and the event. Of course, bigger names will charge, but the point is to see who is available to you within your own community.
2. Promote the benefits to potential speakers of having video and photos from the event to use in their business.
3. Create a survey to collect all the details you need in one place at one time.
4. Be SUPER clear on if you are providing hotel, how many nights, airport transportation and process flights.
5. Be clear on the final date you need their content.
6. Provide them assets right away to start promoting the event.
7. Send them very detailed communication email before the event with their schedule.
8. Respect speakers time.
9. Always have the speaker in the room at least 30 minutes before they go on and 20 minutes for mic in case you are running ahead.
10. Remember to send a speaker thank you card or a little gift so they know how much you appreciate them and to continue the partnership.
