In this episode, I share what to watch out for when considering sponsoring an event and what you can do as an event host to avoid this.
- Event host can't clearly provide demographics of their audience or community.
- Communication and response time isn't good.
- Projected attendance numbers are not shared or huge numbers are shared for a first time event.
- There is not a sponsor contract.
- The sponsorship is a high cost without the ability to engage or connect with attendees.
- You are promised the attendee list.
- No flexibility or customization for sponsor benefits at the higher levels.
- Crickets once you sign-up.
- No dedicated exhibit time.
- Reach out to other businesses that sponsor events or have sponsored the event you are considering for feedback. As an event host, ensure you leave your sponsors with a good experience so they recommend your event!
