Laurissa Rex is the CEO of Third Eye Event Productions, LLC, The Haunted Mafia, LLC and the founder at PARA, Palmerton Area Research Alliance. She is a Retired US Army Signal Corps Officer . Laurissa enlisted in 1998 and served as a Civil Affairs Specialist under the Special Operations Command of the US Army until she received her commission at the University of West Florida in 2004 at which time she transitioned into the Signal Corps as an Officer. Laurissa is married to Allen Rex Jr., her co-founder at PARA. They have 4 children together.Laurissa is a natural born psychic medium with all 5 “clares.” Although initially the shock of her brother's death turned her away from the paranormal field, something profound that was said to her at the time of his burial always stuck with her; her child repeated to her that someone had relayed that her brother had simply returned to dirt and there was nothing more beyond death. This revelation really hit her to the core and Laurissa sought to show not only her children that the world did not cease in the physical realm but also others. It became apparent that a lack of faith in a higher power could give no incentive for others to live life positively or with faith and that was a lonely and dark way for anyone to live. Therefore, in June of 2020, during the Covid epidemic, Laurissa and her husband, Allen, began investigating around their tiny town of Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Armed with a K2 and EVP recorder, her new paranormal journey began in cemeteries around Carbon County. After a few months the two sought out other like-minded, local friends and created the team High Spirits of Palmerton Paranormal. HSPP was founded on August 14, 2020 with a community focus on home investigations. Laurissa rebranded her flagship team HSPP, High Spirits of Palmerton Paranormal, in 2022 to PARA. PARA investigates nationally with 8 permanent members; Allen Rex, Marlena Beers, Skye March, Brian (Duckie) Haluska, Bree D'esposito, Seth Peterson and Amber DeStefano. In October 2023, Laurissa further expanded and founded The Haunted Mafia, LLC. The vision for THM is for company's such as Third Eye to collaborate with other companies in order to bring more affordable and larger events to the paranormal community. Laurissa's vision for more innovative and original events combined with her passion for unity within the field has led to business partnerships with teams such as Solace Paranormal, entertainment conglomerates such as Our Haunted Lives, PARAflixx and social media influencers such as Greg and Alex of Anything Goes. THM is also partnered with Haunted Explorations and Dave Juliano of the Ghost Hunter’s Store. Laurissa also became a psychic medium for the Warren Legacy Foundation in May 2023 in order to assist people with the most severe paranormal afflictions.
In July 2023 producer Matthew Kondracki of Dark Echoes Productions, LLC and Dark Echoes Paranormal Show approached Laurissa to be a psychic medium on the series, which is currently airing on Amazon Prime. In September, Matt officially casted Laurissa as a primary psychic medium on the show and brought her on board the crew as Assistant Director and Public Relations Manager. Laurissa is featured several times during season one which just wrapped filming on December 12. Season 2 begins filming in January and will feature several of the locations
