George Blaisdell had a transformative event in 1999 when he was involved in a white-water rafting accident. Initially the accident caused a massive concussion and loss of sight that would gradually return over the following months. The impact was severe, the event jarring to his body and soul. Immediately following the accident George was led on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth in ways he could have never imagined. A day following the accident George was drawn to a Victorian mansion on the coast of New Hampshire that had been advertised for sale that day. Call it fate or chance, but when George walked through the Mansion’s front doors, blind and led by hand, he immediately had a sense of belonging the likes of which he had never felt. The mansion was in severe disrepair, so much so that if he had his eyesight he never would have purchased it. An unexplained knowing overcame George that would transform him little by little, and as the mansion was revived and renewed so was George. The decades long renovation of the property inspired Georges passion of bringing forth a message to see with your heart and not your eyes. As George saw the beauty of the mansion without sight, he encourages others to see each other without the prejudice of our eyes
