Grief is so tricky, right? Well-meaning people want to encourage us to ignore what we are feeling with “just look on the bright side”-type language, or give us their expectations about how to grieve or how long it should take. And as a nation and across the world, we have been grieving so much throughout 2020 and into this new year of 2021. Grief is not a place that we are familiar with, but rather it's something we tend to avoid, mainly because it is so damn uncomfortable.
