Our Halloween episode is a demented 80’s doozy. Sadly, not every Wes Craven film was a classic. Exhibit A: “Deadly Friend” (1986), Craven’s studio butchered sci-fi/love story/teen slasher/cute robot kiddie flick abomination. Barry compares the film to Diana Henstell’s novel, Julia ponders the kind of neighborhood where science nerds and biker gangs run wild, and they both consider how hard it is to murder someone with a basketball. Happy Halloween!
