Barry the Movie Critic and his long suffering wife Julia take you back to that mystical time when a demonstration of social status meant having a fax machine in your Range Rover. This week, your hosts discuss Robert Altman's "The Player" (1992), the only movie wise enough to cast Lyle Lovett and Whoopi Goldberg as buddy cops. Julia admits to remembering it as "that movie where guys sit around and talk about movies" (pretty spot on, actually). Barry predictably drools over the opening scene, secretly admires Griffin Mill and recalls the bizarre & best experience he ever had in a movie theater...watching this movie. Follow us on Instagram @soimarriedafilmcritic_podcast and please leave us a review
