As far as child actors go, Angela Cartwright was one of the most successful. At the age of five, Cartwright joined the popular sitcom The Danny Thomas Show and stuck around for seven seasons. Immediately after, Cartwright snagged a role in the musical The Sound of Music, which would go on to become one of the most successful films of all time.
The success didn't end there, with Cartwright swiftly returning to television for her most well known role as Penny Robinson on Lost in Space. The sci-fi series would last three seasons and go on to become a cult classic, cementing the child actor's place as one of the best of all time.
