I am going to share with you something that may seem a bit backwards at first, but it is one of the keys to sharing and monetizing your message. We all know the world is filled with experts who are broke, people with advise and opinions and no one listening to them.

The first things that people need to understand is for them to be successful they need to build an audience of people to share their message with. The problem is that most people do not know where to go or hot to do that.

What I have found is that everyone that is successful at building their audience has these three things in common.

1. They all have a charismatic leader or an attractive character.
2. Each of them focused on a future-base cause that was bigger than themselves.
3. They each offered their audience a new opportunity.

This caused me to look into this a bit more and this is what I have found. I started to reverse engineer what was happening and figured out why it worked so well. What I found was that once I mastered this and applied those principles to my audience, I was able to quickly transform them from mere followers into true fans.

Check this out. In 2008, Kevin Kelly wrote an article called :”1,000 True Fans”

A creator such as an artist, musician, photographer, craftsperson, performer, animator, designer, videomaker, or author — in others words, anyone producing works of art — needs to acquire only 1,000 True Fans to make a living.

What is a True Fan?? A True Fan is defined as someone who will purchase anything and everything you produce. They will drive 500 miles to see you sing. They will buy the super deluxe re-issued hi-res box set of your stuff even though they have the lo-res version. They have a google alert set for your name. They bookmark the eBay pager where your out -of-print editions show up. They come to your openings. They have you sign their copies. They buy the t-shirt, and the mug, and the hat. They can’t wait till you issue your next work. They are true fans.
