Sit in your mediation space and take a deep breath. When you’re ready, read the morning passage that follows. Then sit for one minute of stillness and let the words settle in.

I am responsible for what I see.
I choose the feelings I experience and I decide upon the good I would achieve.
and, everything that happens to me I ask for, and receive as I have asked.

Today’s affirmation sustains your witnessing process. Repeat this affirmation through the day and remember the power you have to choose your perspective.
As you use your affirmation throughout the day you’ll become more aware of how you’ve chosen to perceive the world around you. Let go and know this opening is the first step to healing your connection to self. True self-love requires radical self-reflection. A Course in Miracles emphasizes the importance of shining light on the ego’s darkness. Taking responsibility for your ego’s fear is a major step toward letting yourself off the hook. Once you can see that you simply made a wrong minded choice, you can consciously choose the right mind instead. Try not to get upset with yourself when you look at the ego’s delusions. Instead be proud that you’re looking upon your fear’s with the intention of transforming them.
