Description

In this episode, we're kickstarting the Take Care Mental Health Miniseries with stories from me. I'm getting a little vulnerable and talking about my journey to therapy. Black people, and other people of color seek therapy too; don't let anyone convince otherwise!

Join me for a candid conversation about my experiences and some stats about mental health in the U.S. I'm not diving too deep into the statistics but I wanted to lay out some numbers for you all. Thank you for joining me on this journey, I hope you enjoy this and all of the episodes to come in this mental health miniseries.

Recommendation of the Week

Alexandria suggests - advice - Do your research and start seeking the help you require! If you have been thinking about getting a therapist it is time to go and do so. And if you are not yet ready to go that route, try getting in touch with your emotions by journaling each day and writing what's going on around you and in your head.
