Description

It's the moment you've been waiting for, another podcast crossover! This time I linked up with Colleen and Emily Rose who co-host the You Sound Like A Girl Podcast. I worked with both of these talented and amazing women in the theatrical piece for this project of You Sound Like A Girl. They both have a theater background and are using their art as activism making a platform to explore and uplift all women's and femme's voices.

Recommendation of the Week

This week's recommendation comes in conjunction with You Sound Like A Girl Podcast's segment about centering women and femme's voices.

Colleen chose to lift the voice and work of Imani Barabarin who created crutchesandspice.com speaks to the intersections of race, gender and disability.

Emily Rose chose to lift Sabrina Strings and the book, Fearing the Black Body: The Racial Origins of Fat Phobia

Alexandria chose to lift Ava DuVernay and work that combines art and activism as a way to bring awareness to social injustices that plague Black and Brown communities
