The history of cannabis culture is one of repression here in the united states. Weed, since 1914, has been used to ostracize, oppress, and incarcerate black and brown people. All the way down to how it was named. There have been generational wounds inflicted by how cannabis has been handled in this country. This is the ugly truth, and one that hardly gets acknowledged in today’s burgeoning cannabis industry.
