Aruna Roy is an Indian political and social activist who founded the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan. She Is known for her clear and vocal stand to fight corruption and promote government transparency.
Roy fights for the constitutional rights of the poor - Right to Information, Employment, Food Security etc. She was a member of the National Advisory Council (NAC) from 2004-06 and 2010-13 and is currently the President of the National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW).
