Saying ‘no’ to mediocre opportunities is easy. Saying ‘no’ to good opportunities is hard.
In order to have a great life you’re going to have to say ‘no’ to a lot of good things, which isn’t easy.
That’s what I’m talking about this week with Elana McKernan, a Master Certified Coach who, until recently, was the Chief Operating Officer for one of the biggest names in life coaching.
Elana walked away from a position so many people wanted so she could pursue what she truly wanted. Her story resonated with me because that’s exactly what I did in broadcasting. I walked away from a career I spent 17 years building to go after what I wanted.
If you’ve ever wanted more but didn’t know how to get it and therefore settled for what you have … this episode is for you.
This is an open and honest conversation from two women who were afraid to make a big move but did it anyway. We don’t sugar coat things or tell you it’s easy. What you will get out of this is a framework to challenge your own thoughts, the importance of developing a strong relationship with yourself and an example of what’s possible.

About the host:
Hi, friend! My name is Pamela Hughes and I’m a former talk show host turned life coach. After 20 years in the news business, I walked away from what people thought I should do and I did what I wanted to do … coach people who are stuck like I was and help them find relief, awareness and control within themselves.
This was no easy task and I’m not here telling you it was. I had to take full responsibility for where my life was and then decide where I wanted it to go. It was time to stop complaining about my situation and do something about it. I had to stop looking for others to validate me and start having my own back. This required looking inside myself for the answers instead of looking outside of me.
I told you it wasn’t easy … but I wouldn’t change one thing about my journey because it led me right here to you reading about it, maybe identifying with aspects of it and hopefully being inspired to get UNSTUCK.
