A place where it feels like time has stopped.
The buildings are falling apart—walls cracked, roofs caved in,and weeds growing everywhere. It’s quiet here, except for the wind… and sometimes… something else.
This is Letchworth Village.
When it opened in 1911, it was meant to be a safe place forpeople with mental or physical disabilities—a progressive, modern home where they could live with care and dignity. That dream didn’t last long.
Soon, stories of neglect, overcrowding, and cruel treatmentbegan to spread. Many who came here never left. For them, it became a place of suffering.
