In Part 1 of the Carty Cup kickoff, Michael, Ryan and D-Love select their Western Conference 1-8 playoff seeds, analyzing each selection and processing through D-Love's immediate buyer's remorse. The Carty Cup, in honor of the late Jay Carty, a man known for his humble yet correct opinions, is a NBA predictions league that evolved out of an NBA email discussion list in 2004. The guys will predict 1-8 seeds in the Western and Eastern conference, conference champions and NBA champs plus a number of individual awards (MVP, ROY, COY and Michael's favorite First Coach Fired).
