There is a song we used to sing in Catechism (Sunday School) "Be careful little Ears what you hear, Be Careful little Eyes what you see, Be careful little MOUTH what you speak..." Your words have the power to breakdown a person or build up a person. With social media a platform for gossip, hate speech and negative destructive influence even on the strongest minds, learning to cut out what you choose to let in has become a life skill. We need to learn to block out the noise and the negativity and learn how to choose what we allow to influence our thoughts and actions. Sticks & Stones may break my bones - cruel words can hurt me for years to come. Are you using your words for good, to encourage and inspire or to hurt and destroy? You maybe someone's last voice of influence and encouragement - Choose your words carefully.
