This was an excellent body of work-to us. It came across very raw and vulnerable and like he stated previously on Skorpion it felt like he was, "Pulling back the curtain..." From the opening of Champagne Poetry sampling The Beatles' Michelle, Masego and G.H. Delegation. Top to bottom the most noticeable samples to me were Life After Death Intro (Love All), I'm Too Sexy (Way 2 Sexy, Nig*aaz Ain't Barin' Dat (Knife Talk) and the controversial Half on a Baby (TSU). It's a bit jolting how much he shares, because my goodness... We want to give him a hug more than anything at this point. Although we would've loved a few name drops some songs didn't require it because we knew. We have some questions for the boy after listening:
Who hurt you?
Who in your camp did you dirty?
How is therapy going?
Who did you cheat on w/Ms. Sophie?
Do you want a hug?
Are you feeling better now?
