During the COVID pandemic, Fernanda Vallejo saw a need to build a community, creating a Facebook group for Latin American Canadian women and other newcomers. That group has become the not-for-profit Latinas Manitoba.
She now has plans for a community centre and is also increasing awareness around intimate partner violence.
