I recently sat down with Montreal singer-songwriter Fernie to discuss his new song "Pain" written in collaboration with Patrick Watson.
I met Fernie in Secret city's offices (His label) on the day he came to sign his contract. I dont know why but I knew then that I would be seeing him again. Here we are.
We talk about his being adopted by a Brazilian mom and German father, life in the burbs and his start making music leading him to make a record and playing in France.
We talk about his new song "Pain" and how it came to be. We talk about his collaboration with Patrick Watson with whom Fernie collaborated with for a few songs. As usual we listen to a demo before delving into the stems of the finished song.
