Today we’re talking about the way that women are generally valued in proportion to their usefulness to men. Not as their own beings, with their own dreams and expectations, but only in regards to men is destabilizing. I wanted to open a conversation about how these perception is placed on women and approach how the male gaze is portrait in media (there’s gonna be an entire episode on male vs female gaze). The “pick me” phenomenom, the comparison that’s inherently present and thought to women, but let’s go beyond these concept that we have to take from someone’s beauty in order for me to validate my attractiveness. Trying to distance myself from what the world has always put on me.
