Description

Today’s episode is a duo cast with your favorite cohosts Mackie & Juliet. We chat about Post-traumatic growth. PTG is a theory that explains a positive transformation following trauma. It was developed by psychologists Richard Tedeschi, Ph.D., and Lawrence Calhoun, Ph.D., in the mid-1990s, and holds that people who endure psychological struggle following adversity can often see positive growth afterward. They can also have a new appreciation for life, a newfound sense of personal strength, and a focus on spirituality and helping others. We talk about transforming struggles into purpose and why some people experience this and others may not.
